Who we are

CityStar is operated by C.S.O. Enterprises (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the CityStar website and mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Contact info@citystar-app.com.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, name, username, and profile details you choose to add (photo, bio, city, gender). Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Content you share. Reels, photos, stories, posts, comments, votes, and direct messages you create on CityStar.
• Competition entries. If you enter a competition, we store your entry details, your rule confirmations, and your competition results.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we keep records of your purchases (such as competition entry fees) and their status.
• Usage information. Basic technical data such as views, likes, follows, and device/browser information needed to run the service and keep it secure.

How we use your information

• To provide CityStar: showing your profile and content, running competitions, counting community votes, and delivering messages and notifications.
• To keep the community safe: content you upload (including images and videos) is automatically screened, including with AI tools, before or shortly after it becomes visible to others.
• To process payments and help prevent fraud.
• To send service emails, such as account notifications and competition updates.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see your content

Your profile, reels, photo posts, and competition entries are visible to other CityStar users. Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient. Competition standings, including creator names, are public within the app.

Service providers

We share data only with providers needed to run CityStar:

• Clerk — sign-in and account security
• Stripe — payment processing
• OpenAI — automated content safety screening
• Replit — application hosting and file storage

Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its role.

Your choices and rights

• You can edit your profile and delete content you have posted at any time.
• You can delete your account and associated personal data in the CityStar app under Profile → Account & Privacy → Delete account. See our account deletion page for full instructions or contact info@citystar-app.com if you cannot sign in. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights such as access, correction, or portability. Email us to exercise them.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When content is deleted or an account is closed, associated media and personal data are removed from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal, safety, or payment reasons.

Children

CityStar is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child is using CityStar, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as CityStar evolves. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and notify you in the app if the changes are significant.
