Terms of Service

These terms are written in plain language to be easy to read. C.S.O. Enterprises has reviewed their intent, but this page should be checked by a qualified attorney before any significant changes are made.

Who we are

CityStar is operated by C.S.O. Enterprises (“we”, “us”, “CityStar”). By creating an account or using CityStar — on the website or the mobile app — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use CityStar. Questions? Contact us at info@citystar-app.com.

Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use CityStar. If you are between 13 and 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf. By using CityStar you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement for your country and that, if you are a minor, your parent or guardian has given their consent.

We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to register. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will close it and delete any associated data promptly.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@citystar-app.com if you believe someone else is using your account without your permission.

You may only create one account per person. Accounts are personal and cannot be transferred to someone else.

Content you post — your license to us

When you share content on CityStar — including reels, photos, posts, comments, stories, and profile images — you keep ownership of that content. However, by posting it you grant C.S.O. Enterprises a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, and promote your content within CityStar and in connection with marketing CityStar (for example, featuring a reel in an app-store preview or a social media post about the platform).

This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for content that has already been shared publicly, which may remain in caches or third-party reposts we do not control.

You represent that you own or have the rights to everything you post, and that your content does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.

Community rules

CityStar is a creative community. To keep it safe and fair:

• No harmful content. Do not post content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or that promotes violence or discrimination.
• No AI-generated media in live contests. Registered contestants in an active (live) competition may not submit AI-generated photos or videos as their competition content. This rule exists to keep competitions authentic. CityStar automatically screens uploads and will reject or remove content that violates this rule. Contestants who repeatedly attempt to circumvent it may be disqualified and removed from the contest without a refund.
• Automated moderation. All media uploaded to CityStar (including photos, videos, and thumbnails) is screened using automated tools, including AI, before or shortly after it is published. Content that violates our rules will be removed. You may appeal a removal by contacting info@citystar-app.com.
• Respect others. Treat fellow users with respect. Harassment, impersonation, and spam are not allowed.
• One real identity. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules or that we believe harms the community, at our sole discretion.

Competitions — entry fees, rules, and winners

CityStar hosts talent competitions where creators can register, receive votes from fans, and win recognition and prizes.

• Entry fees. Some competitions require a one-time entry fee paid through Stripe, not a subscription. The fee for each competition is shown clearly before you register. If a city is below the required number of paid and eligible contestants at the deadline, that city does not enter voting and paid entries enter the refund process. Entry fees are non-refundable once the registration is confirmed, except where required by law. We will always tell you the fee amount before you pay.
• How winners are decided. Winners are determined by the number of fan votes received during the competition period, subject to the specific rules posted for each contest. CityStar reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate the rules, including the AI-content prohibition, and to adjust vote counts if we detect abuse (such as vote manipulation or fake accounts).
• Prizes. Prize details are described in each competition listing. Prizes are awarded at C.S.O. Enterprises’ discretion after verification that the winner meets all eligibility requirements. Winners may be required to provide additional information to receive their prize.
• Eligibility. You must have a complete, verified CityStar profile to enter a competition. Additional eligibility requirements may apply to specific contests and will be stated in the contest rules.
• Fan votes and points. Fans may use season points to vote for their favourite contestants. Points are earned through in-app activity and have no cash value. Unused points do not carry over between seasons.

Payments and refunds

All payments on CityStar are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.

Entry fees for competitions are charged at the time of registration and are generally non-refundable. If a competition is cancelled by CityStar before it begins, you will receive a full refund. If you have a billing dispute, contact us at info@citystar-app.com and we will investigate.

Content screening and safety

To keep CityStar safe we automatically screen all user-generated content, including photos and videos, using AI-based moderation tools. Content that violates our community rules or applicable laws is removed without notice. We also allow users to report content or accounts that they believe violate our rules, and our team reviews those reports.

We do our best to catch harmful content quickly, but we cannot guarantee that all content on CityStar meets our standards at all times. If you encounter something that should be removed, please use the in-app report feature or email us.

Intellectual property

The CityStar name, logo, design, and all platform software are owned by C.S.O. Enterprises and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our written permission. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or permanently close your account if you violate these terms, engage in behaviour that harms other users or the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. We will try to give you notice unless immediate action is necessary (for example, to stop serious harm).

You may close your account at any time by contacting info@citystar-app.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of any fees already paid, including competition entry fees.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

CityStar is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or that it will be free of errors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, C.S.O. Enterprises is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of CityStar.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as CityStar grows. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use CityStar after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which C.S.O. Enterprises is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by the laws of your country.
