Competition Terms & Conditions

The official terms governing entry into CityStar competitions.

1. Participation Fee

Entry into each quarterly competition requires a fixed, one-time, non-recurring fee of $19.99 USD. Payment must complete before an entry is confirmed.

2. Eligibility & Verification

Contestants need a valid CityStar account, must be at least 18, and must declare a profile gender. Regular contestants must have fewer than 150,000 followers on every social platform. CityStar may verify eligibility. Paid active contestants may not publish AI-generated or materially deceptive AI-altered media.

3. Disqualification

CityStar may disqualify entries for breaches of these Terms, the Participant Rules, or Community Guidelines, including false information, ineligible follower counts, vote manipulation, harassment, or unfair conduct.

4. Refunds

Each city must independently reach 200 paid and eligible entrants by its deadline. A city below 200 does not proceed to voting or receive a city winner, and its paid eligible entries enter CityStar's refund process. Fees are not refundable for voluntary withdrawal, disqualification, or failed eligibility.

5. Fair Play

Bots, fake accounts, coordinated vote manipulation, and artificial point inflation are prohibited. Voters receive separate quarterly Picture, Video, and Character point budgets; points have no monetary value and cannot be transferred or carried over.

6. Results, Runoffs & Certification

Winner ordering is Character points, then Video points, then Picture points. Exact remaining ties use a published runoff. Results are reviewed before certification and are not final merely because they appear on a live leaderboard.

7. Potential €10,000 Prize Eligibility

Winning the same certified overall number-one female or male category in two consecutive quarters creates potential eligibility for €10,000, subject to final verification. Payment is not automatic.

8. Acceptance

By entering a CityStar competition, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Competition Terms & Conditions and the mandatory Participant Rules presented before entry.
